Terms of service

Last updated 2026-07-16

These terms govern your use of the Sudoku Junior (full store name "Sudoku Junior: Kids Puzzles") mobile app and the Sudoku Junior website (the "Service"), provided by TLM Software Design, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 27280 Haggerty Road, Ste C-6, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, USA ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

Who these terms bind

Sudoku Junior is designed for children ages 4–12, but children cannot enter into contracts. These terms are an agreement between us and you, the parent or legal guardian (or other adult) who downloads the app, makes it available to a child, or makes any purchase. You are responsible for your child's use of the app. Purchases, restores, settings, and external links are only reachable through an adults-only parental gate.

What the Service is

Sudoku Junior is a classic, numbers-only sudoku game for iOS and Android with four board sizes (4×4, 6×6, 9×9, and 12×12), guided in-play tutorials, three free hints per level, and a map-style progression. It is fully offline — all puzzles, progress, and settings live on your device. The app contains no advertising and offers a single one-time non-consumable in-app purchase, "Unlock everything" ($2.99), managed by RevenueCat.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

In-app purchase — Unlock everything

"Unlock everything" is a one-time, non-consumable purchase ($2.99) that permanently unlocks all levels in all board sizes on the purchasing account. It supports Family Sharing, so one purchase covers eligible members of your family group. There are no subscriptions, no consumable purchases, and no virtual currency. Payment is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms; purchases are subject to each store's own refund policy. Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat — see our Privacy policy for what data that involves.

Intellectual property

The Sudoku Junior app, its original artwork (the calm visual theme, map illustrations, icons, UI), its machine-verified puzzle collections, and the code that runs it are owned by TLM Software Design, Inc. The sudoku puzzle form itself is unprotected prior art. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app for personal, non-commercial entertainment and education.

"Sudoku Junior" is our brand name for our particular implementation, and its use is not intended to imply affiliation with any other sudoku game or trademark holder.

No warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that progress will be preserved across all device conditions, although the app is designed never to lose a child's progress.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TLM SOFTWARE DESIGN, INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR ANY IN-APP PURCHASE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $5, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS RIGHTS THAT CONSUMER-PROTECTION LAW GRANTS YOU AND DOES NOT ALLOW TO BE LIMITED.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms at any time. Material changes to the terms will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Oakland County, Michigan.
