Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026
Gridspire is published by TLM Software Design. This policy covers the Gridspire app for iPhone and iPad and these pages at apps.swtlm.com/gridspire.
What the app collects
Two things, both through Google Firebase, and neither of them identifies you personally:
- Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics). If the app crashes, it sends a report describing where it failed, along with the device model and iOS version. We use these to fix bugs; there is no way for us to tell which person a crash came from.
- Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics). Events such as launching the app or finishing a game, together with device model, iOS version, coarse region and a random app-instance identifier. We use these to see which modes people actually play.
The app never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos or location, and it has no account to sign in to.
What the app does not do
- No adverts. Gridspire shows no advertising of any kind, and no advertising SDK is built into the app.
- No tracking across apps or websites. The app does not ask for permission to track you, which means it cannot read your device's advertising identifier at all. Nothing it sends is used to build a profile of you or shared with data brokers.
- No purchases inside the app. Gridspire is bought once on the App Store. It contains no in-app purchases and no subscription, and no purchase SDK is built into it.
Your game stays on your device
Scores, Ascent progress and settings are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us, and deleting the app deletes them.
Children
Gridspire is a puzzle game suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13 specifically. It knowingly collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
These web pages
The Gridspire pages set no cookies and run no analytics or tracking scripts. Our host keeps standard server access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights and how to reach us
Because nothing we receive identifies you, we usually cannot find "your" data to export or delete on request. You can stop all collection by deleting the app. If you have a privacy question or a request under the GDPR, the CCPA or similar law, write to privacy@swtlm.com and we will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
