These terms govern your use of the Midnight Mahjong Solitaire mobile app and the Midnight Mahjong Solitaire website (the "Service"), provided by TLM Software Design, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 27280 Haggerty Road, Ste C-6, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, USA ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.
Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use the app. Midnight Mahjong Solitaire is not directed at children.
What the Service is
Midnight Mahjong Solitaire is a free, ad-supported classic mahjong solitaire (Shanghai-style) puzzle game for iOS and Android. It is fully offline — all gameplay, stats, and settings live on your device. The app displays advertising provided by Google AdMob and offers a single one-time non-consumable in-app purchase, "Mahjong Unlimited" ($3.99), managed by RevenueCat.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app beyond what applicable law permits.
- Use automated tools to interact with the app or to manipulate ad impressions.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or the terms of the App Store or Google Play.
Advertising
The free tier is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and an optional rewarded video for bonus hints). Ad content is determined by AdMob and is subject to Google's advertising policies. We do not control which specific ads are shown. See our Privacy policy for how AdMob handles data.
In-app purchase — Mahjong Unlimited
"Mahjong Unlimited" is a one-time, non-consumable purchase ($3.99) that unlocks all 5 board layouts, all 5 themes, unlimited hints, and removes ads permanently on the purchasing account. Payment is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms; purchases are subject to each store's own refund policy. Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat — see our Privacy policy for what data that involves.
Intellectual property
The Midnight Mahjong Solitaire app, its original artwork (board layouts, tile-set art, UI), and the code that runs it are owned by TLM Software Design, Inc. The core mahjong solitaire mechanic is unprotected prior art dating to the 1980s. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
"Mahjong solitaire" is a generic name for this tile-matching game genre, not a trademark we claim exclusive rights to. "Midnight Mahjong Solitaire" is our brand name for our particular implementation of it, and its use is not intended to imply affiliation with any other Mahjong or mahjong solitaire product or trademark holder.
No warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that your stats will be preserved across all device conditions, or that ad content will be appropriate for all audiences.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TLM SOFTWARE DESIGN, INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR ANY IN-APP PURCHASE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $5, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Changes to the app or these terms
We may update the app or these terms at any time. Material changes to the terms will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Oakland County, Michigan.
