Privacy policy

Blood Pressure Diary is operated by TLM Software Design, Inc. (Michigan, USA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. We've kept it short on purpose.

The short version

What we collect

Health measurements

Blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse), the arm and position used, and any feeling notes you add are stored exclusively in the app's private local database on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers or any third party. There is no cloud sync of any kind.

Diagnostics and analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to collect crash reports and anonymous event counts — for example, how many times the "Add reading" screen is opened. These events are anonymous identifiers tied to a randomly generated install ID; they do not include your blood pressure values, pulse readings, or any notes you have entered.

If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a stack trace and basic device information (OS version, device model) to help us fix the bug.

This website

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate visits — pages viewed, session count, and referral source. GA4 analytics are only activated after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Decline," no analytics scripts are loaded and no cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage (key: ga_consent_blood-pressure-diary) and refreshing the page.

When analytics are active, GA4 may set cookies named _ga and _ga_* in your browser. No marketing cookies, ad cookies, or tracking pixels are used on this site.

In-app purchases

The $1.99 unlock (CSV Import/Export + PDF Report) is processed by Apple or Google through their respective stores. We receive a confirmation that the purchase was made so we can unlock the features. We do not receive your full payment information. Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google under their policies.

Who we share with

We rely on a small number of service providers:

None of these providers receive your blood pressure readings or any other health data you log in the app.

How long we keep things

Your rights and choices

Because health data never leaves your device, the primary way to delete your data is to delete the app. You can also clear individual readings from within the app.

If you live in the EU, UK, California, or another region with comparable privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict processing. Email us at privacy@swtlm.com for any of these requests.

To opt out of Firebase Analytics on your device, use the device-level "Limit Ad Tracking" or equivalent privacy setting for your OS.

Children

Blood Pressure Diary is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EU) and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child is using the app, contact us and we will help.

International transfers

Our diagnostic and analytics providers (Firebase/Google) operate servers in the United States. Anonymous crash and analytics events from the app are processed there. Your health measurements are stored only on your device and are not transferred internationally.

Changes

We'll post material changes here and update the "Last updated" date. If a change broadens what we collect or how we use it, we'll show a notice in the app on next launch.
