Cromia is operated by TLM Software Design, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 27280 Haggerty Road, Ste C-6, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, USA (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what the Cromia mobile app and website process, where that processing happens, and the choices available to you.

The short version
  • Live camera frames are processed on your device and are not saved or uploaded.
  • Photos you choose for analysis and their reports stay in private app storage.
  • Cromia has no user account, social profile, advertising SDK, or cross-app identity.
  • Core colour picking, naming, analysis, and palette tools work without an internet connection.
  • Release builds may send consent-controlled usage events and crash diagnostics to Firebase.
  • RevenueCat and the platform store handle optional Pro purchase status; we do not receive payment-card details.

Camera colour picking

Cromia uses the device camera to sample a small region under the on-screen lens. Sampling, colour conversion, nearest-name matching, and palette calculations happen on the device. Live camera frames are not written to Cromia’s database, sent to our servers, or used to train a model. The camera is used only while the camera screen is active.

Photo analysis and private storage

When you choose a photo, the operating system’s photo picker gives Cromia the selected image. Cromia copies it into the app’s private storage so you can reopen the report. The app stores the photo, its local file name, the calculated dominant colours and profile, timestamps, and colours you deliberately save. The image and report are not uploaded to us.

You can remove an individual report, clear History entries, or use Settings → Delete everything. Uninstalling the app normally removes its private files and database, subject to the backup settings controlled by your operating system.

History, palettes, and settings

Saved colours, expressive colour names, palettes, focus-size preferences, appearance, language, privacy choices, and daily Free-tier usage counters are stored locally. Cromia does not provide cloud sync or an account that can connect this data across devices.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

Release builds use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand feature usage and app reliability. Events use a limited app-defined vocabulary and do not include camera images, analysed photos, colour values, file paths, free text, or advertising IDs. Debug builds do not send these events. You can disable analytics in Cromia’s Privacy settings. Crash diagnostics may include device model, operating-system version, app version, stack traces, and technical state needed to investigate a failure.

Purchases

Cromia Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app-user identifier, product and entitlement status, transaction metadata, and store environment so the purchase can be verified and restored. We do not receive your payment-card number or store password.

Permissions

  • Camera — to sample colours while the camera screen is open.
  • Photos — through the system picker, only for images you select for analysis.
  • Network access — where available, for purchase verification and consent-controlled Firebase diagnostics; core tools remain offline-capable.

Cromia does not request contacts, precise location, microphone, or advertising-tracking permission.

This website

apps.swtlm.com/camera-color-picker is a static website hosted on Amazon S3 and CloudFront. AWS may process ordinary delivery logs such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and browser metadata for reliability and security. Google Analytics loads only after you accept the cookie banner. It may then set _ga and _ga_* cookies and record pages viewed, sessions, referral source, and aggregate interaction events. Decline and no Analytics script loads. The choice is shared across apps.swtlm.com and can be withdrawn by clearing this site’s local storage and cookies.

Service providers

  • Google Firebase — consent-controlled app analytics and crash reporting.
  • RevenueCat — purchase verification and entitlement restoration.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and payment processing.
  • Amazon Web Services — static website hosting and content delivery.
  • Google Analytics — consent-controlled website measurement.

Children

Cromia is a general-audience design utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires that age for consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices and rights

You may use the core app without creating an account, deny photo access by cancelling the system picker, disable analytics in the app, decline website analytics, delete local content, or uninstall the app. To ask about data associated with a support message or purchase record, email privacy@swtlm.com. Applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing.
