Terms of service
Terms of service
Last updated 2026-08-20
These terms govern your use of the Cromia mobile app and website (the “Service”), provided by TLM Software Design, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 27280 Haggerty Road, Ste C-6, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, USA. By downloading or using Cromia, you agree to these terms.
What Cromia provides
Cromia is a camera-based colour utility for iOS and Android. It provides live colour sampling, colour names, HEX/RGB/HSL/CMYK conversion, saved History, photo composition reports, palettes, and optional design tools. The Service is intended for personal and professional reference, design exploration, and everyday colour identification.
Accuracy and appropriate use
Cromia is a practical picker, not a calibrated colourimeter. Camera sensor characteristics, automatic exposure, white balance, display calibration, lighting, reflections, and material texture can change a reading. You are responsible for confirming colours with calibrated equipment before relying on them for manufacturing, medical decisions, safety markings, accessibility certification, contractual specifications, or other high-stakes uses.
Free features and Cromia Pro
The free app includes live detection, four colour formats, naming, nearby shades, limited History, daily photo analysis, and one palette. Cromia Pro is a one-time non-consumable purchase that lifts capacity limits, enables all focus sizes, and adds design tools. Exact availability and price are shown by Apple App Store or Google Play before purchase and may vary by country, currency, tax, and store.
The platform store processes billing, refunds, Family Sharing eligibility, and store-account access. RevenueCat verifies and restores the entitlement. Cromia does not promise that every store, country, device, or account will support every purchase feature. Refund requests are handled under the applicable store’s rules.
Your content and device storage
You retain any rights you have in photos you select. You grant Cromia permission to process those photos locally only to provide the requested report and related saved colours. You are responsible for having the right to use the images you select. Cromia does not provide cloud backup; local photos, reports, History, and palettes may be lost when you delete them, uninstall the app, reset the device, or lose access to local storage.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, bypass purchase checks, or distribute a modified client except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use the Service to violate intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
- Probe, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on purchase, diagnostics, website, or distribution infrastructure.
- Misrepresent Cromia output as a certified measurement when it is not.
Intellectual property
Cromia’s code, interface, original artwork, copy, and branding are owned by TLM Software Design, Inc. or its licensors. Open datasets and third-party components remain subject to their own licences and attributions. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app for lawful personal or professional use.
Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains local image processing, diagnostics, purchases, permissions, and website analytics.
No warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant exact colour accuracy, uninterrupted operation, permanent preservation of local content, or compatibility with every camera, device, store, or future operating-system version.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TLM SOFTWARE DESIGN, INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $10. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes and governing law
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms. Material changes will be published here with a revised date. These terms are governed by Michigan law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
