Playbreak is operated by TLM Software Design, Inc., a Michigan corporation with offices at 27280 Haggerty Road, Ste C-6, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, USA ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what the app stores, which services receive data, why they receive it, and the choices available to you.
Summary
- There is no account and no sign-in anywhere in the app.
- Vs bot and pass-and-play matches, settings and statistics are stored on your device only.
- Nearby play connects devices directly over Bluetooth Low Energy. Nothing about a nearby table is uploaded to a server.
- The app shows no advertising of any kind — there is no ad SDK in this app.
- One non-consumable purchase unlocks five games. RevenueCat verifies it; Apple or Google processes the payment.
- On Android, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics record a device identifier, anonymous usage counters and crash diagnostics. The iOS build does not currently send analytics or crash reports.
- This website (a separate thing from the app) uses Google Analytics to count visits, gated behind the cookie banner below — decline and nothing loads and no cookie is set.
Data stored on your device
The app uses local, on-device key-value storage (SharedPreferences on Android, NSUserDefaults on iOS) for everything needed to play and to remember your choices. This includes:
- Games in progress — board state for a vs-bot or pass-and-play match, so it survives the app being closed or the device restarting.
- Statistics — results per game and per way of playing.
- Settings — language, bot difficulty, theme and other preferences, including the optional name for nearby play if you enter one.
- Unlock state — whether the one-time purchase has been made, and which locked games have already used their trial match.
Removing the app normally removes this local data. Platform backup behaviour may vary with your device and operating-system settings.
Nearby play — Bluetooth
Nearby connects participating Android and iOS devices directly over Bluetooth Low Energy. One device is the host: it owns the match, and sends each guest device only the information that seat is allowed to see — a guest never receives another seat's private hand, fleet, or other hidden state. Nearby exchanges the lobby list, a join request, the host's approval, assigned seats, and the moves and board snapshots needed to run the match. It also carries a display name: the one you entered under Settings → Name for nearby play, or the word for "Player" in your language if you left it empty. The name is optional, can be anything you like, and is stored only on your device.
Nearby play is not uploaded to Firebase or any other server, does not require an account, internet connection, shared Wi-Fi, system Bluetooth pairing, or a PIN. Bluetooth is used only after you choose Nearby and continue past the in-app explanation; opening the app or playing vs bot or pass-and-play never initializes it. While you host a table, any device in radio range that is searching for tables can see that it is open, which game it is, and the host's display name. When a guest asks to join, the host sees the guest's display name and nothing else about who is asking, and may approve or reject it.
A participating device records its own result in local statistics only when a match reaches a result screen — a connection that cannot be restored simply produces no result, on either device. Nearby sessions are foreground-only. If the connection drops mid-match, the host holds the player's seat for 30 seconds and recognises the returning device by a random code issued for that match, which exists only in the memory of the devices at the table and is discarded when the match ends. If a player leaves, or does not return in time, the match ends on every device and nothing is kept from it.
No advertising
Playbreak shows no advertising of any kind — no banners, no interstitials, no rewarded video. There is no advertising SDK anywhere in the app.
The one-time unlock — RevenueCat
Backgammon, Checkers, Dominoes, Durak and Reversi are behind a single non-consumable purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, product and entitlement status, a store receipt or purchase token, and basic app and platform information needed to verify and restore the purchase. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment itself — we and RevenueCat do not receive your payment card or store-account password. The unlocked state is cached on your device, since the app is built to work without a connection and a purchase check cannot depend on one.
Purchases can be restored through the store account that originally completed the transaction. RevenueCat's practices are described in its Privacy Policy.
Analytics and crash diagnostics — Firebase
On Android, Firebase Analytics records a device identifier and anonymous, aggregate usage counters (such as which screens are opened and how a session ends), and Firebase Crashlytics may receive a stack trace, app version, OS version, device model, and a Firebase installation identifier when the app crashes. Both are encrypted in transit. These reports never include hand contents, fleet positions, board state, or any other content of a game you are playing. The iOS build does not currently send analytics or crash reports — that starts once Firebase is set up for iOS, and this policy will be updated when it does.
Permissions
On Android the app declares:
VIBRATEfor gameplay haptics.- On Android 12 and later,
BLUETOOTH_SCAN(flaggedneverForLocation),BLUETOOTH_CONNECTandBLUETOOTH_ADVERTISEfor Nearby play. Android presents these as Nearby devices access. - On Android 8–11, legacy Bluetooth access plus
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONfor BLE discovery. Those Android versions couple Bluetooth scanning to location permission; the app uses the scan only to find nearby tables, not to determine or store your location.
Every Bluetooth permission is requested only when you choose Nearby play, never at cold start. On iOS, the system asks for Bluetooth access when Nearby first initializes Core Bluetooth. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, or access to files outside its own sandbox, and it does not collect or store your physical location.
Children
Playbreak is intended for a general audience aged 13 and up (16 in the EU/UK). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided data that should be removed.
Your choices and rights
- You can play every mode without creating an account of any kind.
- You can avoid Bluetooth entirely by not using Nearby, or revoke the permission later in system settings.
- You can uninstall the app to remove the local data described above.
- You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data we can associate with a support request you send us.

This website
apps.swtlm.com/classic-games-suite is a static
website hosted on AWS S3 and CloudFront. It uses Google Analytics to count visits —
pages viewed, session count, referral source. Analytics cookies
(_ga, _ga_*)
are set only after you accept via the cookie banner; decline and no analytics script loads
and no cookie is set. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's local
storage in your browser. apps.swtlm.com is one website: this page and every app page on it
share a single analytics property and a single consent choice, so accepting or declining
once applies everywhere on the domain. That is the analytics only — this privacy
policy covers Playbreak and its pages, and nothing else. It loads no advertising SDK. AWS
may also process ordinary CDN request data such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL,
and browser metadata for delivery, reliability and security.
Service providers
- Google Firebase — anonymous analytics and crash reporting, Android only for now.
- RevenueCat — purchase verification, entitlement status, and restore handling.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and payment processing.
- Amazon Web Services — static website hosting and content delivery.
- Google Analytics — visit counts for this website, gated behind the cookie banner above.
