Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the Robot Programmer mobile app and this website, both published by TLM Software Design, Inc. ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you are installing the app for a child, you accept them on their behalf.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you or your family control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-licence, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the app's level data or artwork, except where that restriction is not permitted by law.
The app, its artwork, its robot character, its level designs, and its sounds are ours or our licensors'. The licence above does not transfer any of that to you. Third-party font and audio licences are recorded in the app's repository.
The optional purchase
The first world of levels is free. One optional, one-time, non-consumable purchase unlocks the remaining worlds. There are no subscriptions, no consumable items, no in-game currency, and no advertising.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms, using the store account that made the purchase — we never receive card details. Where the platform supports Family Sharing, the unlock is shared under that platform's rules. You can restore a previous purchase from inside the app at any time; that requires the same store account that bought it.
The purchase, and restoring it, are reachable only after an adult passes a short arithmetic check inside the app.
Refunds
Refunds are issued by the store that processed the payment — Apple or Google — under their published policies; we cannot issue them ourselves. The app links to the relevant store's support page from Settings → Grown-up settings → Unlock & restore → Refund help. If a refund is granted, the unlock is withdrawn and the paid worlds lock again; progress already made is kept.
Children
The app is made for children roughly 5 to 10 years old. It contains no advertising, no chat, no user-generated content, no social features, and no external links reachable by a child. We collect nothing that identifies your child — no account, no name, no email, no age entry, and no advertising identifier. The app does send anonymous crash reports and anonymous app-usage counts, and a parent can switch both off in Settings → Grown-up settings → Privacy. See our privacy policy for the detail.
Availability and changes
We may update the app to add levels, fix problems, or keep it working with new operating systems. We may also stop distributing it. If we do, previously purchased content remains usable on devices where it is installed for as long as the platform supports it; we cannot guarantee availability beyond that.
We may change these terms. Material changes will be published here with a new date before they take effect for a new version of the app.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
