Built by engineers, for real people

Genuinely useful apps, engineered with care.

We are a software engineering team, and these are the apps we build for ourselves. Each one does a single job and then gets out of your way — no streaks to keep, no countdown before you can play again. Some of them cost money and some show ads; every card says which, before you install.

Every app we make

Grouped by what you came for. Each card states what it costs and whether it shows ads, before you tap anything.

What every one of our apps has in common

No sign-ins, no tracking between apps

Each app keeps its own crash and usage analytics, and there is no shared identifier to join them on. So there is no profile of you to assemble, and nothing to hand to anyone who asks for one.

Honest about the money

These have to pay for themselves, so some are paid and some show ads. What we will not do is hide it. The price and the ad behaviour are on the card before you install. Where we charge, it is almost always a single unlock rather than something that renews.

Made to be pleasant to use

No streaks to protect, no countdown before the next round, no notification asking you back. Every app here started because one of us wanted it to exist, so we are its first users. None of us wants to be nagged by something on our own phone.

Where an app does show ads, its card says so — and says what kind. The same goes for what it costs. We would rather lose the download than have you find out afterwards.

The questions people ask first

Why is nothing in these apps trying to keep me playing?
A good app does not need to. Streaks, countdowns and daily nudges exist to make something feel urgent when it is not. We would rather build something worth opening and let that do the work — which is also, in the end, what pays for it.
How do these apps make money?
Mostly a one-time unlock: you pay once and you keep it. Some of the free apps show ads, and most of those sell a way to switch them off. Where the cost to us keeps running — speech recognition, for instance — the app charges a subscription and says so on its card. What we will not do is make the free version quietly worse until you pay.
Do the apps keep getting better?
Yes. None of these are finished and abandoned; we are still improving them. A surprising number of the changes started as somebody writing in, so if something is broken, awkward or missing, write to info@swtlm.com.
Are there more apps coming?
Yes. The list is still growing, and each app starts because one of us wanted it to exist. That is the only reason any of them are here.
Do I need an account?
No, and we keep the way in as short as we can manage. There is no sign-in screen anywhere in the portfolio. A few games make an anonymous local identity so progress survives a reinstall.
Do they work without a connection?
Most of them completely, and every card says which. We keep moving more of them fully offline — an app that needs a signal to do its job stops working exactly where you wanted it.
